In 2006, when we refined our long-held mission of increasing philanthropic resources to LGBTQ communities to also advance racial, economic and gender justice for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people, Funders for LGBTQ Issues had a profound charge.

Two years into our new mission, and it’s as if our logo came to life, its resource streams emanating like the multiplicity of our communities, the imaginative variety of our activism and the steadfast support, in all forms, of LGBTQ grantmakers.
