Mission/Description

Walden Family Services is a private non-profit foster family agency serving southern California. Walden provides specially trained foster families to care for foster children with severe emotional and behavioral issues. Walden's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) Foster Care Network is one of three programs with a residential component in the Country, that we are aware of, that is specifically designed for LGBTQ foster youth. Walden's LGBTQ Foster Care Network provides training and education to other child welfare providers to improve services to LGBTQ youth in foster care.
