Mission/Description

ATW is DC's premier professional theatre to be dedicated to the Gay, Lesbian, Bi and Transgender (GLBT) Experience. ATW has refocused its mission to provide high-quality, professional theatre that fosters social and cultural awareness of and for the GLBT experience. Under the artistic direction of Jeffrey Johnson, ATW has brought the area a diverse range of productions such as the romantically poignant Michel Marc Bourchard's LILIES, Jean Genet's DEATHWATCH and the widely popular classic rock musical THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW. ATW is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is committed to excellence in both theatrical productions and financial operational soundness.
